We enter Kiyomizu-dera by crossing this majestic gate.

This bell resounds 108 times during the night of December 31st towards midnight to announce the entry in the new year.

We find here also as in any Buddhist temple a pagoda.

The painted temples are finely decorated with sharp colors.

We meet multiple temples by following the road.

Buddha would have left his imprints on this stone.

The famous platform supported by a wooden skeleton assembled without any nail.

The legend said that those who survive a jump from that platform sees them wishes realized. Plentiful vegetation allow up to 85 % of those who tempted the jump during period Edo to survive. The jump is forbidden today formally.

In one of the temples it's possible to admire this nice statue.

In the top of this staircase we find two stones. The distance between the stones is 18 meters long. The tradition want that if one bachelor manages to go of the one to other one of these stones blindly, he( or she) will find the love in the year.

Numerous visitors come to Kiyomizu-dera specially to go to this place. Otowa no taki is a group of three sources which have for reputation to give to the one who drinks the water, the intelligence, the beauty and a long life. But the legend also says that it is necessary to choose, the one who drinks the water of three sources will lose everything.
